Joe Major

The Rev. Joe Major received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Washington University (Ecosystems Assessment) in 1982. Joe greatly enjoyed leading youth programs at several churches in the 1980's, and through those experiences felt his call to ministry. Joe received his MDiv degree from the Graduate Theological Union (Berkeley) in 1988, and was appointed as a United Methodist pastor that same year. He has served churches in Bakersfield, San Jose, and now Santa Rosa.

Here at the church, Joe has spent several years involved in the worship and ministry development of the Stony Point campus. He currently supports many areas including children, youth, Stephen Ministries, local & national missions, and pastoral care. Joe says: “I love being able to serve as one of your pastors. Let me know how we can help you become involved in the life giving activities of this church community.”

Joe and his wife Julia live here in Santa Rosa. They have two teenage children, Christopher and Valerie.
