Prayer Groups
PLEASE GOD, HEAR MY PRAYER
Prayer is the practice of talking with God--speaking and listening, lifting up hope, abandoning control, and learning how to ask for help. In our belief that prayer truly matters, we have several prayer groups who pray regularly in response to the prayer requests of the congregation.
There are several ways to submit a prayer request to the church. You can leave a message on the Prayer Line at 545-3863, option 4, or you can write a prayer request on the back of an ‘”I Am Here” card during a worship service. Of course, you can also speak directly to one of our pastors or staff.
Once we have received your prayer request, it will be given to our Wednesday morning prayer group, and also placed on a prayer list that is sent to an additional group of 75 people. In addition, we have a prayer chain, a group of 30 people, who then call the person listed after their name on the prayer chain list. If you’d like to join one of our prayer groups, please contact Pat Sanborn at 545-3863, extension 209, or Pastor Joe Major at extension 207.
In addition to the above, we also have the Caring Corner, a list of names published in our weekly Sunday bulletin. If you would like your name to be included in this list, we ask that you call the church office or speak to someone on our ministry staff. Since the Caring Corner is public, we only print names by personal request.
As you can see, there are many ways your church family can support you through prayer. Please let us know your concerns.
