Technical Arts

You may not immediately think of Technical Arts as arts, but if you take some time to consider the contribution of these arts to the worship and community experiences, you will see that they are!  They greatly influence how you experience the other parts of what we are.

Stony Point worship centerComputer Videography - At our Stony Point campus, computer videography is an essential part of the worship experience.  We include video presentations by themselves and in conjunction with other parts of the worship service which make the contemporary worship experience what it is.  For example, at a worship service during Advent, we included a short video presentation of "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" prior to the Praise Band and congregation singing it.

Print and Publishing - Our printed publications, such as our weekly service bulletins and announcements, and our online publications (this web site, for example) take an artist's eye to become a more meaningful experience.  Some of this is subtle, like the simple formatting of a page, while other is more complex, like the design of the monthly newsletter, the Roseleaf.  These necessary things would be a lot more boring and less enjoyable if they were pages of text.

Cantata 191Light/Sound - Participants get a lot more meaning from our services and events because we take care to make the experience what it is.  We employ creative lighting and sound so that you don't notice them, or sometimes so you do.
